Bigger than the scoreboard.
Flag football is a kid's first taste of being on a team. We help coaches turn every practice into lessons in effort, respect and friendship — with the right skills at the right age, and no pressure to grow up faster than they're ready.
What every player takes home
Respect
For coaches, refs, opponents and teammates — shake hands every game.
Humility
Credit the team, own the mistake. Big plays, small ego.
Teamwork
Every player touches the ball, every role matters.
Sportsmanship
Celebrate the other team's great play. Win humbly, lose gracefully.
Discipline
Listen, line up, try again. Small habits build big players.
Effort
We praise hustle over highlights.
Fun
If they're not smiling, we're not doing it right.
The sideline sounds like the field
- No profanity — from players, coaches or parents, whether we're winning or losing
- Kids get a swap word: 'wow', 'ouch', 'next play' instead of a curse
- No yelling at refs, coaches or teammates. If it needs saying, say it calm
- A bad word that slips gets said again clean — then we move on
- Adults set the tone: the fence is part of the team
Every kid on their own clock
Some children are athletic on day one. Others take a season or two to find what they love and what they're good at — and that is completely normal. Our job is to keep them excited long enough to find out.
No One Is Behind
We compare a player only to last week's version of themselves, never to the fastest kid on the field.
Excite First
Love it, then learn it. If the game feels hard before it feels fun, children quit before they discover their strength.
Teach In Small Pieces
One skill, one cue, one rep at a time. The learning phase should never be the difficult part.
Season Two Counts
Passion often arrives late. We keep every player in the game long enough for it to show up.
Everyone Plays
Rotations through every position, so no child spends a season finding out from the bench.
Praise The Try
Effort, humility and a good recovery are awarded the same way a touchdown is.
